Rumplestiltskin

The show is very loosely based on the fairy story of Rumplestiltskin. It has a peasant who has to spin straw into gold, a little man who wants to steal a child and of course a happy ending. However the characters in the show have very definite Lesley Ross traits! The prince is a wimp who loves scrabble and is dominated by his mother the Queen of Diamonds whose sole purpose in life is to amass as much wealth as possible. Then we have Shadow - a ninja sidekick of the queen who believes that if she closes her eyes she cannot be seen. The Miller and his wife and their daughter Aimee are traditional fairy story characters. Rumplestiltskin is the menacing old fellow who tries to trick Aimee into giving up her child who likes everything to rhyme. The story teller with the funny name is fairly traditional and moves the plot along. Then we have Flip Flop the Flea who is a pet of Falu, and Barry the Jazz loving penguin.

Will Aimee guess the name? Will the Prince find a bride? Will the Queen get the gold? Will the Shadow be seen? Will Barry find a friend at the Jazz cafe? Will Flip Flop jump high enough? Will it all end happily...of course!!!!!
