The Eighth Day

The Eighth Day

Last Tape Productions presents The Eighth Day
Written by Richard Lloyd & Peter Read.
Directed by Derek Cobley

The Eighth Day vividly reveals what it’s really like to lose everything. Sam Thwaites has gone from successful businessman to homeless person in a flash, and the play is a darkly comic examination of the frustration and helplessness he experiences. Job, car, home, wife, daughter all gone, Sam is left only with the family dog. Yet his one possession stands between him and a warm bed as his eighth day in a hostel approaches, and a big decision has to be made. The Eighth Day is both deeply moving and laugh-out-loud funny.

“Very well written with a nice dose of humour…Richard Lloyd is a great stage presence…”
