Growing Up Linda Los Angeles/Edinburgh -- CalArts Festival Theater presents the first full, public performance of Growing up Linda, written by Marsian De Lellis and P.J. McWhiskers with additional material by Joel Eggers. Puppet Artist Marsian directs. Enter the off-kilter world of Linda Carvel, fictitious daughter of
the famed Writer/Director Marisian De Lellis' recent performances include: workshops of Growing Up Linda (Space Ark, Theatre for the New City, CalArts), Beyond the Beyond (Cornerstone), Jackson's Private Zoo (California Institute for Abnormal Arts), Tips & Trends for 2007 (Feast of Fools Podcast). Marsian's visual art has appeared at Acorn Gallery (Pasadena), Grand Central Art Center (Santa Anna) and in The Scar of Visibility (University of Minnesota Press). Marsian is active in the experimental puppet slam scene as former host of Blood From a Turnip Rhode Island's Only Late Night puppet Cabaret, a regular personality at the Orlando Puppet Festival's Puppets from the Edge, and designer of www.PuppetSlam.com, a website bringing the puppetslam nation to your fingertips. Linda is played by Alanna Blair, who is also appearing in the solo adaptation of T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land: She do the police in different voices. Co-star Brett Waldon was seen at the fringe last year at Venue 13 in Jack, or the Submission, also presented by CalArts Festival Theater. Alanna Blair, Stephen Wendt and Anne Yatco make their Fringe debut.
